Kella was born and raised in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 10th grade, sitting in class at Mc Donogh 35 High School, Kella began writing short stories to pass time. Her stories began being passed around
school to her friends, who overwhelmed her with their great feedback. Sadly, during her Senior Year of High School, Hurricane Katrina uprooted Kella and life as she knew it. In addition, her short stories and passion for writing were also destroyed. Fortunately: many years later, Kella found her passion again for writing, and started back up again.

Kella is a writer of black, romance novels. She enjoys telling stories from all aspects of the black community, and their relationships.
